Parks and Recreation Director

The City of Iowa Park is currently accepting resumes for a Parks and Recreation Director to oversee the City’s Parks Department, municipal swimming pool, coordinates public events and activities. Annual salary range is between $43,846.40 and $56,804.80 depending upon candidate’s qualifications. Benefits include TMRS retirement plan, paid personal leave and major medical leave, ten paid holidays, employee/dependent life and health insurance plan available at a reduced rate, organization memberships provided and a vehicle provided. Iowa Park is located off U.S. Highway 287 approximately ten miles west of Wichita Falls in Wichita County and has a population of approximately 6,500 citizens.

Candidate must possess a valid Texas driver’s license and pass a thorough background check. Candidate must submit to a drug screen and physical Ability to obtain within six months a Pool Manager of Operations license and Pesticide Applicator license. Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) and Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) preferred.
