City Accepting Sealed Bids for the Construction of Wastewater Improvements

CITY OF IOWA PARK
IOWA PARK WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS
Notice is hereby given that the City of Iowa Park is now calling for bids for the construction of
IOWA PARK WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked “SEALED BID – IOWA
PARK WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS” and returned to the City of Iowa Park, 103
N. Wall St., Iowa Park, Texas 76367, prior to 2:00 PM, CDST, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2020 at which
time they will be publicly opened and read. The City of Iowa Park reserves the right to reject any
or all bids received.
The Bidding and Contract Documents may be obtained by visiting the City of Iowa Park’s City Hall.

Copies of the Bidding and Contract Documents may be purchased from Halff Associates, Inc. at 4000
Fossil Creek Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas 76137.

The cost of the Bidding and Contract Documents is $50.00 per half-size set. The cost of Contract
Documents is not refunded. Submit check, cashier check or money order for payment. Cash will not
be accepted.

A non-mandatory prebid meeting for the project will be held at the Iowa Park Economic Development
Conference Room, 107 W. Cash St., Iowa Park, Texas 76367 at 2:00 PM, CDST, WEDNESDAY, JUANUARY 29,
2020.

This project includes construction of approximately 5,365 feet of two 6-inch force main lines, and
construction of a new submersible lift station at the site of an existing lift station. One line
starting at a new proposed lift station connecting to an existing sanitary sewer system. Another
line starting at an existing lift station and connecting to an existing sanitary sewer system. Much
of the equipment related to the lift station has been pre-purchased by the City of Iowa Park.

Bidders must submit a cashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their
proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner
within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to City
of Iowa Park in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the
contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents.

Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area
established by the Owner and included in the contract documents.
Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required.

The City of Iowa Park reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids
submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any
or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from date
on which bids are opened.
